What this rate is, and is not
This is the minimum ordinary hourly rate — the rate for ordinary hours, before penalty rates, overtime, allowances or loadings. An employer can pay more than the minimum. They cannot pay less.
Rates at other times
This award does publish penalty rates, and none of them describes the times these pages cover — Saturday, Sunday, public holidays, overtime and the evening. The whole table, as the Commission publishes it, is on the MA000010 page.
Before you compare this to your own pay
Classification depends on the duties you actually perform, not your job title. If the work you do does not match this classification, this is not the rate to compare against — and that is the single most common reason a comparison goes wrong.
This page also does not account for your hours, whether you are casual, part-time or full-time, penalty rates for the times you worked, overtime, allowances, superannuation, or anything else that appears on a payslip.
